Ok,
Here it is...I'll lay it out for you, right here, right now... On a mission; I am...Easy; it ain't!
I am, with some fellow Starbuckians (I work for Starbucks of u didn't know!) going to coplete a challenge on the 22nd of July, to raise awareness and money for the international charity 'CARE' I have to complete the following:
1. Cycle a route around Lake Coniston, Lake District
2. Canoe accross Lake Coniston
3. Climb up 'Old Man Coniston'- a big fuck off mountain next to...Lake Coniston.
Now as you also may be aware, I am presently on a mission to lose weight and try and hit my peak of physical fitness before I am too old to do so! I am doing the following to prepare and to contribute to my challenge:
1. Continue and up the level of horse riding I do
2. Swim once a week
3. Play Badminton every Tuesday
4. Go to Gym more often than never...
5. take up jogging
So to prove I am serious I have got 2 runs to par take in prior to July and the big challenge... I am running a 4 mile Fun Race in Horton, in 2 weeks (Fun...I use that term loosely!) Then a 7 mile run in June wit Andrew and Dan of Starbucks Bristol (neither are going in fot the Coniston Challenge!)
Now if you have never met me you would not understand fully the magnitude of what I want to take on...now while I am no stranger to walking and standing on me feet all day, I am by no standards 'fit'!
Next week, my training plan begins, I will post up in a blog, week by week, my progress and vital stats, to share any changes my body experiences...
I will also take photo's to share with you...
Any comments of advice or encouragement are greatly recieved as right now, for want of a better expression, I am bricking it!! Let me assure you this will not be easy for me...
